Beauty and personal care products may contain ingredients that can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Common allergens include:

- Preservatives โ e.g., parabens, methylisothiazolinone (MIT), phenoxyethanol
- Essential Oils โ including lavender, tea tree, citrus, and eucalyptus
- Chemical Sunscreen Agents โ e.g., oxybenzone, avobenzone
- Lanolin โ derived from wool, may cause reactions in sensitive individuals
- Propylene Glycol โ used in moisturisers and creams
- Formaldehyde Releasers โ DMDM Hydantoin, Quaternium-15
- Hair Dye Chemicals โ PPD (paraphenylenediamine), resorcinol
